The Guest Plant Hosting Program offers the
opportunity for club members (Hosts) to grow a modern and
valuable daylily plant owned by the club for several (usually
three) years for the increase which will then be sold at a club
fund-raising event. The Host will be permitted to keep two fans
of said guest plant in recognition of the effort expended to
care for the daylily over that time period.
IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THIS PLANT, THE HOST
MUST:
·
Be a current member of DSSEW.
·
Have attended three of the nine
scheduled club events during the past year.
·
Acquire a guest plant via a
drawing. Preference should be given to members who do not yet
have a plant. Members who already have guest plants may
voluntarily withdraw from the drawing.
·
Sign this hosting agreement at the
time of the plant pickup. All plants remain the property of
DSSEW.
·
Mark the guest plant in the host
garden with a marker provided by DSSEW.
·
Provide the guest plant with good
garden care (amended soil, sunny location, fertilizer and
water).
·
Not
use the guest plant as a pod parent (pollen use is acceptable).
·
Provide DSSEW with an annual
progress report. Notify DSSEW if the guest plant declines.
·
Return all guest plants to
DSSEW upon failure to comply with the above or upon
discontinuing membership.
·
Return the guest plant, less two
fans, when requested for the Plant Sale
